Pops & Drops: Orbitz, Metro PCS...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Orbitz and Metro PCS popped while Jack In The Box and Omnicare dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Orbitz (OWW) popped 9%. Profits topped estimates due to increased bookings. - People are booking online, says Tim Seymour.

Metro PCS (PCS) popped 7%. Earnings beat the Street driven by strong growth in new subscribers and fewer customer dropouts.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Jack In The Box (JACK) dropped 6%. The fast food restaurant missed estimates with the CEO citing discounts from pizza chains as a catalyst for the drop in the company’s dinner sales. - I wouldn't touch it here, says Joe Terranova.

Omnicare (OCR) dropped 10%. A published report suggested the company may be facing legal troubles involving “false claims for reimbursement and other improper conduct.” Karen Finerman has a lot to say about this company. Watch the video and get all the details.

Big Lots (BIG) dropped 7%. The company isn’t benefiting from the trade down effect as much as the Street expected; although they reported sales of $1.13 billion (up 6%) it was below estimates.
