Lightning Round: Saks, WellPoint, Yumana Gold and More

Saks : Sell SKS, Cramer said. Consider buying Tiffany or Coach instead if you want a high-end retail play.

Intel : Cramer admitted that the company might not be having a great quarter, but he thinks the stock is worth holding onto. He said Intel could shore up its cash reserves over the couple of quarters, and there’s a chance investors could see a dividend increase, too.

Qwest Communications : Sell Qwest, Cramer said. And he prefers Windstream to Qwest’s buyer, CenturyTel .

Caterpillar : Cramer is bullish on CAT. He called it the “greatest manufacturing company in the world.”

CSX : Cramer said he does like CSX, but right now Union Pacific looks like it has “more room to run.”

El Paso : “This group is right now in the doghouse,” Cramer said. But if forced to choose, he’d rather see investors in Chesapeake Energy .

WellPoint : This may be the best HMO, but Cramer can’t endorse the stock with the Democrats in control of Washington.

Best Buy : Sell BBY, Cramer said. He is worried about a recent downgrade by Goldman Sachs.

Yumana Gold : Try Eldorado for its growth or Agnico-Eagle for its consistency and a “soon-to-be-big dividend,” Cramer said, if you want to play gold.

NVIDIA : Cramer urged viewers to stick with NVIDIA for its “huge” cash position, strong balance sheet and stable of in-demand semiconductors. He doubted that the stock, which had lost about half its value, could fall that much further given those positives.

When this story published, Cramer’s charitable trust owned Intel.
