As much as Cramer likes Phillips-Van Heusen, owner of the Calvin Klein, Arrow, Izod and Tommy Hilfiger brands, he had a question about the company’s quarter, reported after Thursday’s closing bell.
Not that the quarter itself was bad—It wasn’t. But Phillips-Van Heusen offered fourth-quarter guidance that seemed to be at the low end of analysts’ expectations. Should investors be worried?
Well, the last time the Street worried about PVH’s guidance, the stock sold off. But those concerns turned out to be a mistake, and PVH bounced back even harder. Cramer wondered if that’s what we might see again.
