Pops & Drops: Seagate, Netflix...

Following are moves you may have missed this week. Find out why shares of Alcoa and Seagate popped while Netflix and Barnes & Noble dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Alcoa (AA) popped 8% on the week.
Published reports suggested Rio Tinto may have an interest in buying the stock. - I think this stock is cheap on valuation, says Guy Adami.

Seagate (STX) popped 7% on the week. The company authorized the repurchase of as much as $2 billion of its own stock. - I'd stay away, says Brian Kelly.

Market Vectors Russia ETF (RSX) popped 7% on the week. A rise in the price of oil combined with word that Pepsi planned to spend $3.8 billion for a 2/3 stake in Russian beverage company Wimm Bill Dann may have sparked broad interest in this ETF that tracks Russia. - I think it's an attractive market, says Tim Seymour.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Netflix (NFLX) dropped 3% on the week. According to Reuters, senior executives at three of the big six television and movie studios said they were seeking ways to contain Netflix. - Valuations are way too high; I can't get on board, says Karen Finerman.

Barnes & Noble (BKS) dropped 12% on the week. The company reported declining margins, gave muted guidance and said sales were shrinking within its physical stores. - All good reasons to stay away, says Patty Edwards.
