Pops & Drops: Dell, SanDisk...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Dell and Sandisk popped while Carmax and Darden Restaurants dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Dell (DELL) popped 4%. An SEC filing showed Michael Dell bought about $100 million worth of his company’s stock. - That's a bullish sign, says Tim Seymour.

Sandisk (SNDK) popped 5%. Raymond James upgraded the stock to ‘outperform’ from ‘market perform’ citing increased demand for its chips. - I'd get long, counsels Carter Worth.

Elf Yourself. The Christmas craze started by Office Max and JibJab has now reached 378 million people in 50 countries who just can’t seem to stop plastering their photos on dancing elves.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Carmax (KMX) dropped 7%. Gross profit per vehicle fell short of expectations. - I think it's ripe for a pullback but I'm a buyer lower, says Guy Adami.

Darden Restaurants (DRI) dropped 6%. Though profits met expectations, same-store sales fell short. - No good, says Karen Finerman.

Skechers (SKX) dropped 7%. Sterne Agee analyst Sam Poser cut the stock to a ‘sell’ from a ‘buy’ and said he may have overestimated demand for the company’s toning shoes. - It's a sell for me too, says Brian Kelly.
