Pops & Drops: AIG, Disney...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of AIG and Disney popped while Family Dollar dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

AIG (AIG) popped 7%. The company said it had received interest from potential buyers looking to purchase its Taiwanese insurance subsidiary; offers were as much as $3 billion. - I looks like it wants to go higher, says Guy Adami, but I'd be hard pressed to play along.

Disney (DIS) popped 3%. Goldman Sachs added the company to its Conviction Buy list and raised its price target to $45 from $43 citing the positive impact the economic recovery is having on their theme park and cruise businesses. - I also love this story, says Joe Terranova.

Transocean (RIG) popped 4%. Perhaps gains were technical with the stock currently trading above its 50-day moving average of $67.98 and above its 200-day MA of $63.27. - Interesting, says Karen Finerman.

Autodesk (ADSK) popped 7%. Goldman Sachs raised the stock to "Buy" from "Neutral," with a price target of $50 and said it was a stock to own as the "recovery gathers steam." - I'm a buyer even at these levels, says Brian Kelly.

Expedia (EXPE) popped 4%. Patty Edwards told us investors may be betting that higher oil will translate into higher air fares; in turn that would send travelers to this and other travel sites looking for deals.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Family Dollar (FDO) dropped 9%. The company dragged down the whole space after it reported lackluster first-quarter earnings and gave second-quarter guidance below Wall Street's expectations.
