Conversation in Davos is Similar to U.S.

The conversation here in Davos is not surprisingly very similar in theme to topics we have encountered many times on CNBC's "The Strategy Session."

The rise of the east and the increasing optimism of those building businesses based in Asia is a recurring theme, made louder perhaps because the attendee list at the World Economic Forum (WEF) increasingly reflects the growing influence of companies based in India and China.

And then there's Europe.

The same questions we have focused on for months continue to come up: how deep will the crisis in sovereign debt become and given the interconnectedness of these assets, what is the risk if we do see a restructuring that brings pain for bondholders?
