Moving to the sidelines in RIM may have looked like a smooth move at the time, but as it turns out, Joe Terranova fumbled this play.
The Liquidator made the fateful call on December 17th as a bet that RIM was losing too much market share to rivals.
“When I look forward in 2011, I know they're changing the business model. They're moving from the mature market into the emerging markets, and that leads to erosion in terms of margins,” he said at the time. “That's a concern for RIM.”
No guts no glory. Since he said to move to the sidelines shares of RIM have powered higher.
