Hedge Fund Trade Of The Week: Cisco

Where’s the fast money finding opportunity? In this regular feature Anthony Scaramucci aka The Hedge reveals his latest greatest pick!

This week's trade is long Cisco. You read that right, Cisco; the former tech bellwether whose disappointing earnings sent shares to their lowest level since July 2009.

Take a look at some of the company's stats:

Cisco (CSCO)
Sector: Technology
Industry: Communications Equipment
Market Cap: $102 billion
Based in: San Jose, CA
52-week high: $27.72
52-week low: $18.56

As you likely know eroding margins and a cautious outlook have stoked concerns that competition is stunting growth at Cisco. However Anthony Scaramucci isn't worried.

He tells the desk to focus on the valuations, which he says are extremely attractive. And he points out that other value hedgies such as Appaloosa, George Soros and Eddie Lampert also hold the stock

Cisco is a bet “there will be an explosion in technological growth over the next 24 months,” he adds. But "hold it for the next 12-18 months,” and you should be happy.
