DAVID FABER: MOOCH AND THE METS. SOUNDS NICE TOGETHER, DOESN'T IT? NOT SOME BOYHOOD DREAM, ITS WHAT SKYBRIDGE'S ANTHONY SCARAMUCCI IS REPORTEDLY LOOKING TO DO. ASSEMBLE A GROUP OF INVESTORS THAT COULD INCLUDE FORMER MET MANAGER BOBBY VALENTINE TO PURCHASE A STAKE IN THE METS FROM ITS BELEAGUERED OWNERSHIP OF COURSE FRED WILPON AND SAUL KATZ. OUR BUDDY, MR. SCARAMUCCI JOINS US ON THE PHONE.YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BUY THE METS, RIGHT?

SCARAMUCCI: WHERE DOES HE GET THAT MR. METS COSTUME?

GARY KAMINSKY: THAT'S YOU, BRO.

SCARAMUSCCI: I SEE GARY WITH A GIGANTIC HEAD INSIDE THAT GIANT BASEBALL HEAD.

FABER: YOU DIDNT ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. I MEAN LISTEN I'M HAPPY TO SEE YOU IN THE TABLOIDS. IT'S GREAT. I'D LOVE TO OWN THE METS, TOO.

SCARAMUCCI: IVE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION BEFORE AND GARY'S PUT ME THERE. SO I'M NOT GOING TO CONFIRM OR DENY WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE PAPER. BUT HERE'S WHAT I WILL SAY -- I THINK THAT THE PRESS HAS BEEN HORRIFIC TO MY VERY CLOSE PERSONAL FRIENDS, THE WILPON FAMILY, THEY'VE BEEN UNFAIR, THEYVE MISCHARACTERIZED WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THEM. AND I THINK IN THE COMING WEEKS, WE'RE GOING TO SEE SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS AS IT RELATES TO THE WILPON FAMILY. THEIR POSITION WITH THE TEAM WILL STAY EXACTLY WHERE IT IS. AND I DO THINK THERE WILL BE A FRIENDLY BUYER AT SOME POINT THAT COMES IN --

FABER: YOU REALLY DO, ANTHONY? SOME PEOPLE SAY THEY'RE DILUTED TO THINK THAT THEY CAN'T SELL AT LEAST 51 PERCENT OR ALL OF THIS TEAM ULTIMATELY GIVEN THE BURDENS THAT THEY ARE CURRENTLY DEALING WITH?

SCARAMUCCI: ONLY THING I WILL SAY TO YOU, THIS IS A WONDERFUL FAMILY. I'VE HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM FOR 30 YEARS.OK I'M NOT GOING TO CONFIRM OR DENY THAT I'M INVOLVED. BUT I WILL SAY THIS. IF I WERE INVOLVED, IT WOULD ONLY BE IN THE SUPPORT OF THAT FAMILY. AND I THINK WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THEM HERE, THIS CRIMINAL ATTACK THAT HAPPENED TO THEM FROM BERNARD MADOFF, I THINK THAT THEY WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY IN COURT TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES. AND I THINK THEY WILL DO A GOOD JOB OF DOING THAT.

KAMINSKY: ANTHONY, YOU ARE A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY AND YOU MAYBE SOMEBODY WILLING TO MAKE AN INVESTMENT AT A VERY FULL VALUE -- VALUATION THERE IN TERMS OF A MINORITY POSITION. BUT THERE AREN'T MANY THAT WANT TO HAVE A MINORITY POSITION IN AN ILLIQUID SPORTS TEAM. WHAT WOULD BE THE MOTIVATION FOR THAT? AS AN INVESTMENT...

SCARAMUCCI: I DON'T NECESSARILY AGREE WITH THAT, GARY. I THINK THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT HAVE A LOVE OF BASEBALL AND HAVE A LOVE OF THAT FAMILY AND WOULD POTENTIALLY WANT TO BE PARTNERS WITH THEM. BUT I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS ME. I'M JUST SAYING THAT I DON'T THINK THAT -- AGAIN, THAT'S CHARACTERIZATION IN THE MEDIA THAT I DISAGREE WITH.

FABER: MOOCH, AS ALWAYS --

SCARAMUCCI: YOU CAN USE MY SEATS NEXT YEAR.

FABER: THANK YOU. I'LL BE THE ONLY GUY IN THE WHOLE STADIUM.
