FM Madness Results Day 1: March 14th

Monday was Day 1 of Fast Money Madness, our annual tournament to determine the best stock of the year.

The only way to play in this tournament is by following the show on Twitter. (Click here to go to our Fast Money Twitter page, twitter.com/cnbcfastmoney.)

Now that the game has begun, your replies will determine the winner of each match-up. The traders and the “Fast Money” producers will evaluate which side makes the best case for their stock.

Take me to the brackets!

On Monday March 14th, the following stocks advanced:

- Apple beat Dell

- HP beat CSCO

- Juniper beat RIMM

- EMC beat AT&T

- IBM beat Google

- Qualcomm beat Intel

- Microsoft beat Oracle

- Netflix beat JDS

And here’s the exciting part, if your tweet catches our eye as particularly good, we will read it on air that night and publish it on our website.

On Monday, Fast viewer Kevin Remde had this to say: People who equate MSFT as "behind" just because of "no tablet" or somesuch forget how ahead in "the cloud" they really are.

Rusha Sams summed it up nicely in a rhyming tweet: "Cisco's the system we all need, but to make some moolah, go with H-P!"

In case you're wondering, the 64-company bracket is seeded according to consensus analyst and investor sentiment from “Fast Money” guests and traders. Four major sectors are represented: Technology and Telecom, Home and Healthcare, Financials and Insurers, and Commodities and Industrials.
