Former Met Dykstra Faces Embezzlement Charge

Former baseball star Lenny Dykstra has been arrested and will face one charge of embezzling from a bankruptcy estate, according to a federal prosecutor.

Federal prosecutors allege that Dykstra misappropriated items from two mansions belong to the bankruptcy court, including one he bought from Wayne Gretzky for $18.5 million.

Dykstra is accused of stealing or destroying $400,000 worth of items belonging to the bankruptcy court, including a $50,000 sink, granite fixtures and memorabilia that he sold.

Dykstra was arrested at a home in the San Fernando Valley by the LAPD on unrelated charges and was in custody Friday night.
