CNBC Real-Time App is part of the LG Smart TV launch

Singapore, May 3, 2011 – CNBC, the recognized world leader in business news, is the only real-time, business news application preinstalled on the LG Smart TV platform. The CNBC real-time app is available on all LG Smart TV’s in 9 markets across Asia Pacific including Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This announcement comes on the heels of the successful launch of CNBC’s new Asia Pacific edition of on 18th April and a record setting month for in March. According to the latest data from comScore Media Metrix, the site was visited by 7.8 million unique users in March, an 83 percent increase compared to the same time period last year, and recorded 381 million page views, a 64 percent increase year-over-year.
