Earlier this afternoon, I had a chance to sit down with Mark Steinberg, who is leaving IMG and will be bringing Tiger Woods with him.

On the announcement Woods made about staying with him...

Steinberg: "I'm flattered Tiger is sticking with me. We've been together for 12 years and we've been through a lot together. I appreciate his loyalty."

On where he's going to go...

Steinberg: "I haven't made a decision yet, I'm analyzing it as I speak. I was surprised at all the opportunities that were out there. It's been eye opening and prettying invigorating."

And what it's going to be like...

Steinberg: "I've had 19 and half great years at IMG and I wish them well. It's going to be weird to wake up and answer calls and not say 'IMG' with my name. I thank Mark McCormack for the unbelievable start he gave me, but I'm not looking back.

On whether he's just interested in doing golf...

Steinberg: "I'd like to build a very big golf clientele, but I'm also interested in multi-sport representation. I have to decide whether I want to form an alliance or go out on my own."

When will he make a decision...

Steinberg: "I have done a lot of listening these past few weeks and I will continue to listen. I'll definitely take the next few weeks."

On if Tiger is still drawing corporate interest...

Steinberg: "There's a lot of interest in him. We just have to get him back on the golf course so that corporations that want to capitalize on him can do so."

Is interest all about winning?

Steinberg: "Winning is a component. Look at what LeBron went through. Now he's two wins away from erasing all that."
