Short-term momentum players be ready, on the day of the last 14 job reports the Dow has traded in a 155 point range, on average, even though it ends the day roughly flat closing down about 27 points, or 0.26 percent.
The point swings on Jobs Friday are unusually volatile, accounting for about 6 times the average closing change for the day.
Additionally, the average high for the CBOE Volatility Index on jobs day so far this year stands at 19. The VIX has been recently trading around 15.
