How Should You Play Oil, Now?

The energy trade came back into favor on Wednesday as oil prices clawed their way back above $89.

That’s crude’s biggest gain in 4 weeks. How should you trade oil now?

Mike Khouw suggests a long position in mid-continent refiners. “They’re buying something cheaply and selling it at a market price.”

Also he likes integrated names.

“I tend to favor Chevron, in the space,” he says. “Conoco tends to trade at a discount and Exxon at a premium but integrated names are another great way to play.”
