"Athens subsidized exhibitionists and pedophiles."

That's a translation of one of the lead headlines today in Handelsblatt, a top German business newspaper.

The story is about the qualifications for disability benefits that the Greek government provides. In November, the definition expanded to include "pedophiles and pyromaniacs," according to the story.

The story goes on to describe Greece's "social system" as characterized by "arbitrariness and abuse."

If you ever wonder why the German public is so reluctant to help out their Greek euro zone cohorts, just remember that some are convinced that aid will just go to finance pedophiles and pyromaniacs.
