Englewood Cliffs, NJ, May 3, 2012 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, will serve as the “Official Broadcast Partner” at the upcoming International CTIA WIRELESS 2012® trade show and conference. Taking place May 8-10, 2012 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, the network is returning for the third straight year and will broadcast live from the exhibition floor on the first two days of the conference, covering all of the breaking news and speaking exclusively with the hottest companies in the space.
On Tuesday, May 8, Jim Cramer and David Faber will co-anchor Squawk on the Street at 9 am ET. Cramer will also host a special edition of Mad Money w/Jim Cramer (6 & 11 pm ET) later that day. In addition, Cramer will serve as moderator for CTIA’s Keynote Carrier Roundtable - “Beyond LTE – Carrier Innovations” featuring Ralph de la Vega, President & CEO, AT&T Mobility; Dan Hesse, Chief Executive Officer, Sprint Nextel Corporation; Philipp Humm, CEO & President, T-Mobile USA; and Dan Mead, President & CEO, Verizon Wireless. On Wednesday, May 9, CNBC Technology Correspondent Jon Fortt will provide updates on the latest products and trends coming out of CTIA for CNBC, CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and on CNBC.com. Fortt will also serve as host at the CTIA Emerging Technology Awards ceremony which takes place that day and honors the most innovative wireless products and services in the areas of consumer, enterprise and network technology.
CNBC will also launch the exclusive “CNBC Social Conversation Index: Mobile Edition” powered by Collective Intellectas part of its CTIA Wireless coverage. The “CNBC Social Conversation Index” uniquely tracks social conversations about all things mobile including carriers, handsets (including Apple and Android products), apps (music, photos, games), commerce and more. After the Convention, the “CNBC Social Conversation Index: Mobile Edition” will become a regular part of CNBC’s multiplatform coverage of the wireless industry.
