Zuckerberg’s Filing Doesn’t Make Facebook a ‘Buy’: Pros

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement that he wouldn’t sell shares in the social media company for 12 months did not make the stock a “buy,” “Fast Money” pros said Tuesday on CNBC.

Trader Steve Grasso said the major challenge for Facebook “is not about the shares.”

“It’s about the monetization of mobile,” he said, noting that $17.55 per share was the intraday low.

“That has to be what you’re shooting against if you’re trading it, or you buy upside calls and play it even safer.”

Shelter Harbor’s Brian Kelly said Zuckerberg’s announcement might be a slight shift.

“The company may be actually managing itself to please the shareholders, which is something Zuckerberg said he wasn’t going to do. Maybe this is a slight change at the margin,” he said.

However, details about Zuckerberg’s shares did not impress Kelly.

“I want my CEO to hold shares for five years, 10 years,” he said. “Twelve months is not a long time.”
