Google’s track record in monetizing the mobile space where Facebook hasn’t yet makes it an exciting stock, Stephanie Link of TheStreet.com said Monday on CNBC.
“I think a lot of money came out of Facebook,” she said on “Fast Money.”
“I think people looked at Google, and they’re looking at cost per clicks. They’re looking at their display business, their online video business.
“There’s a lot to get excited about for Google. It’s trading at 11x cash. I know it’s had a nice move — I’m not chasing it right here — but on a pullback I think it absolutely is a ‘buy.’”
For Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital, the bigger question was about Apple and whether there would be enough newness in the upcoming iPhone 5 to make users want to upgrade.
Weiss said he was long calls and short puts, “so I’m believing that there is, and that will create the next leg in Apple stock.”
