Jeff Kase is a vice president and the Chief Information Officer for United Therapeutics Corporation. He is responsible for ensuring that the IT strategy, infrastructure, operations, risk management, and security are in place to enable the company's mission to develop and commercialize innovative products to address the unmet medical needs of patients with chronic and life-threatening diseases.

Kase has over 20 years of information technology and security experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to United Therapeutics, Kase served as the Senior Director of Information Security and Risk Management at Emergent BioSolutions, where he established the program and developed a strategic plan to enhance the overall information security, risk and disaster recovery capabilities of the company.

Previously, Kase served 8 years as the Director of Information Security at MedImmune, creating the company's first Information Security function and developing a long-term roadmap to evolve the IT Risk Management program in alignment with the company's risk appetite. He continued in this role through the 2007 acquisition by AstraZeneca.

Kase holds MS and BS degrees in computer science from the American University in Washington, D.C.
