Matt Madrigal, Chief Technology and Product Officer for Fanatics, spearheads the company's global technology and mobile practice while expanding product development and data capabilities to support Fanatics' next generation of growth. Matt joined Fanatics in 2014, and over the past several years has played a vital role in shaping the transformation of the company into a mobile-first retailer that is using the latest in A.I., machine learning, predictive analytics, digital marketing and on-demand manufacturing to create a seamless, omnichannel, real-time shopping experience for sports fans worldwide. Matt recently oversaw the ground-up design and deployment of Fanatics' new data intelligence platform & Cloud Commerce Platform, which uses improved navigation, personalization, responsive design and faster screen loading times to enhance its global e-commerce network of partner sites, leading to mobile accounting for upwards of 70% of all sales around big sports moments. In addition to a West Coast HQ in Silicon Valley, Matt's team includes members who are strategically located in tech hubs including Boulder, Co, Manchester, UK and Hyderabad, India.


A 21-year tech industry veteran, prior to Fanatics Matt served as SVP of e-commerce & marketing for Williams-Sonoma, Inc., where he led all digital commerce and mobile technology functions for a portfolio of home furnishings brands, such as Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm, helping to grow the company's e-commerce business to over two billion dollars in 2013. Prior to Williams-Sonoma, Matt led engineering and product for all of eBay's digital marketing and onsite advertising technology functions, including the analytical & data platforms that powered the company's global Internet marketing efforts. While at eBay, he was also instrumental in the creation of Triton, one of the most respected SEM platforms in the industry. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Matt was also a senior consultant with KANA Software and began his career as an analyst at Accenture. He is an avid sports fan, with allegiances to his Cal Golden Bears, the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers.
