Mitch Goldberg is president of ClientFirst Strategy, an investment firm that caters to the needs of individual investors, which he founded in 2005. Prior to opening his own firm, he managed client portfolios at Oppenheimer & Co. His career in the securities industry began in 1990.
He is a regular guest contributor to CNBC.com, writing about investment strategies, markets, economics, securities, and personal finance.
Goldberg's investment philosophy is built around securities that are publicly traded and easily looked up via any major media outlet, diversification, and strategies to help manage risk and return according to clients' objectives.
He is a board member of a not-for-profit networking group, Long Island Elite, which is dedicated to mentoring entrepreneurs and making introductions between local professionals. He graduated from State University of New York at Albany in 1989 with a major in business.
