Cleveland Metropolitan School District

Robert Zellers is Educator: Manager Service Catalog Management Department of Information Technology for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Zellers has 30 years of experience in educational services, 20 years of IT experience and was selected as the director of IT security for Cleveland Metropolitan School District in January 2017.

Previously, Zellers worked in the district as a network administrator before beginning his career in Cleveland Metropolitan Schools and was employed as an IT technical support employee for General Electric's world headquarters, supporting the lighting division employees around the world.

Zellers also contributed to the creation of the State of Ohio Technology Standards in 2003 for the Ohio Department of Education, and he is the recipient of the Northeast Ohio WVIZ PBS TV station Outstanding Educational Services Award (Betty Cope Award) for outstanding educational services provided by an educational employee in K-12 education. He is also a former grant reader for the U.S. Department of Education.

In 2018 CSO50 Cleveland Metropolitan Schools was named one of the top 50 organizations for creation of its cybersecurity program.

Zellers received his Bachelors Degree from Bowling Green State University.
