Maria Dolores de Cospedal inherited the steepest deficit of all of Spain's 17 regions when she became the president of the Castilla- La Mancha region. Since then she has embarked on an ambitious program of cuts that has both divided opinion and seen her touted as a future leader. In an exclusive interview, CNBC's Julia Chatterley asked her what she is doing to boost growth in the region.
