Smartphone stops bullet, saves clerk's life

A Florida gas station clerk considers himself lucky after his cellphone stopped a bullet. Winter Garden police say around 4:45 a.m. Monday, an armed man entered the Hess station and asked a clerk to help him locate a certain beverage. The suspect pulled out a revolver and ordered the clerk to open the safe. When workers were unable to open the safe the suspect fired a single round and hit the phone.
