Supreme Court votes to uphold Ohio’s voter registration purge policy

A lower court ruled that Ohio's policy violated the National Voter Registration Act. The Supreme Court decided 5-4, with liberal justices dissenting, to overturn the lower court ruling. The policy's opponents said Ohio's policy disproportionately impacted racial minorities and poor people who tend to back Democratic candidates.
