China's economy has 'a bit of everything,' says expert

China is highly advanced in some areas and underdeveloped in others, says Timothy Stratford of Covington & Burling. As a result, figuring out how to manage differences between the U.S. and China is a "new type of challenge" for American trade negotiators, says Stratford, who is also a former assistant U.S. trade representative responsible for China affairs.
