Green New Deal remains in the spotlight for the 2020 elections despite Senate defeat

The progressive climate initiative, dubbed the Green New Deal, has been gaining traction on the 2020 campaign trail. Democratic candidates are throwing their support behind it, and the Republican-controlled Senate forced a vote to corner moderate Democrats on the issue. But with the conversation heating up, much still needs to be answered about how the deal will work, or how to pay for it.
