US weekly jobless claims total 208,000, vs 213,000 expected

CNBC's Rick Santelli reports on the latest jobless claims data and the September read on the Philly Fed Index. The number of Americans filing applications for unemployment benefits increased less than expected last week. The data pointed to strong labor market conditions that should continue to support a moderately growing economy. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits rose to 208,000 for the week ended September 14, the Labor Department said.
