Japan's Hayabusa2 craft just left the asteroid Ryugu and is headed back to Earth. The craft has been helping Japan's Space Agency, JAXA, study the solar system's origins. In April 2019, it got close enough to blast explosives into its surface, creating a crater in the asteroid. Hayabusa2 survived the risky mission, and collected rock and dust samples from the first artificial crater ever created.
