Government bailout is necessary for the survival of the aviation industry: Centre for Aviation

Peter Harbison from the Centre for Aviation (CAPA) says while there was certain degree of complacency among the aviation industry before the coronavirus outbreak, government bailout is necessary and needed for the survival of many players in the sector. He argues that airlines are essentially public services as they are at the heart of tourism and travel sectors.
