U.S. corporate investment is set to boom in the second half of 2020: Ironsides

Investment in capital spending and R&D by US firms is likely to accelerate in the second half of 2020, according to Barry Knapp of Ironsides Macroeconomics. He says that with the recession likely over already, corporate research and development can "boom" despite the Covid-19 crisis, while he predicts firms will front-end capital spending to avoid any potential rollback of the 2017 corporate tax cut.
