The U.S. is a 'welcomed power' in the South China Sea: American Enterprise Institute

If countries do not support the U.S. military's ability to operate in the South China Sea in the long term, the United States will have difficulty defending them and "deterring future Chinese aggression," says Oriana Skylar Mastro, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.
