European countries, including Sweden, introduce new restrictions as Covid cases rise

New lockdowns and tough social restrictions were reintroduced across a number of European countries in an effort to contain the second wave. Sweden appears to be changing tack and implementing stricter measures as a second wave of infections takes hold and hospitalizations rise. The country did not impose lockdowns during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
