The bull market in dividends is back and there's room to run
Q1 2021 saw the largest quarterly increase in U.S. common dividends with $20.3 billion. It was the largest quarterly increase since Q1 2012's $26.1 billion and up from $13.9 billion in Q4 2020, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices, senior index analyst, Howard Silverblatt. Silverblatt discusses the resurgence of dividends after a brief pullback due to the pandemic and the outlook for the rest of 2021.
