Former SEC regulator: AMC was smart to disclose new share offering

Shares of AMC Entertainment were up as much as 20% in premarket trading Thursday after practically doubling in the prior session, but the stock later wiped out gains in premarket trading after the movie theater chain said it may offer and sell from time to time up to 11.55 million shares of its Class A common stock.
