From gap semesters to a gap year: college students during the coronavirus pandemic
When the coronavirus pandemic hit and colleges sent students home for remote learning, many chose to take time off — a gap semester or even a gap year — instead. For some it was a choice. For others, it was not. For many, it gave them a chance to face this crisis with family and provided an extraordinary opportunity to really stop and reflect on where they were headed in life.
