Sanofi halts development of its Covid mRNA vaccine

CNBC's Charlotte Reed reports on Sanofi's announcement that its Covid-19 mRNA vaccine will not pursue phase 3 trials despite positive initial results. Instead the French pharma firm said it wants to focus on its protein-based Covid-19 vaccine it is developing in parallel with GSK, and use the mRNA technology for other diseases including influenza.
