A Long-Term Theme That's Working Now

As stocks sunk again Wednesday, Cramer said investors need a long-term theme to fall back on. Given the flurry of cyber attacks lately, the "Mad Money" host pointed to cyber security.

After all, hackers took down the CIA website and broke into the U.S. Senate's website on Wednesday. Hours earlier, reports surfaced that Automatic Data Processor's computers may have been breached. A few days ago, the International Monetary Fund experienced a cyber attack on its system.

Certainly, there is a need for cyber security, so what's the trade?

Cramer likes Fortinet as an investment. It's the leading player in unified threat management, which is an all-around solution that provides protection from the network level to the perimeter. Its services include anti-virus, anti-spam, firewall, Web filtering, intrusion prevention and much more. The company gets nearly 60 percent of its sales from its high-margin subscription business, which Cramer likes because the model provides a high level of visibility through its annunity stream.

Fortinet is also taking share among small, medium and large businesses, Cramer said. It recently reported a strong quarter, too. But he wouldn't buy FTNT at current levels. Instead, he would wait for a pullback. Should the stock drop to the $21 mark, Cramer would pull the trigger.

Albeit a speculative play, Cramer likes Websense , too. It is a global provider of unified Web, data and e-mail content security solutions. Its technology solves the problem of keeping information secure in the cloud. Websense is traditionally known for its Web filtering business, where it has a 60 percent market share. But it's facing tough competition in that area, which is why Cramer thinks WBSN is speculative. The company has been diversifying away from Web filtering, though, so Cramer thinks it could be a strong cyber security play.
