The supercar fleet of Dubai Police stole much of the limelight at the Dubai International Motor Show over the weekend. Now numbering 11 cars, officials told CNBC the vehicles would only serve the purpose of patrolling popular tourist areas, rather than high-stake car chases they are arguably better suited for.
Dubai is obsessed with breaking records. For officials, it is a way of showcasing the Emirate as a city of superlatives and offering another attraction for the growing number of tourists.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
One of the most radical supercar designs of its time, Aventador engineers are said to have found inspiration in fighter jet aerodynamics, with full TFT instrument displays in the cockpit.
