The FCC considering allowing cellphone calls on planes. Earlier this month, CNBC's Phil Lebeau was on a flight where they tested in-flight talking and texting technology. Forbes said Delta has already said it hates the idea, but JetBlue said something along the lines of "hmmmm, maybe."
Speaking of JetBlue, the Transportation Security Administration on Thursday approved the airline for the TSA PreCheck security program.

London Underground is planning to run its subways around the clock on weekends on several lines, the BBC reports. The Rail, Maritime and Transport Union said it had "not ruled out" strike action in the days before Christmas over proposed 750 job cuts at ticket booths.
The world's longest flight will end regular service this weekend. The Singapore Airlines nonstop all-business-class service to New York is getting the ax, CNBC reports.
Winter Restaurant Week, one of the key promotions from NYC & Co, the city's official tourism group, will be later, shorter and more expensive in 2014, according to Crain's New York. Delayed so that it won't overlap with the Feb. 2 Super Bowl at New Jersey's Meadowlands, New York Winter Restaurant Week will run from Feb. 17 through March 7, with prices set at $25 for lunch and $38 for dinner.
