IBM to spend $1.2 billion to increase the size of its cloud

IBM is committing $1.2 billion to expand the reach of its cloud computing infrastructure. The company said in an announcement that it plans to build 15 new data centers on five continents, adding to the 13 it already has. Eventually, it said, it will have 40 data centers in 15 countries.
