Design your own soda? There's an app for that

The ability to personalize your own carbonated drink will soon be a few clicks away once Coca-Cola rolls out a new feature it announced Monday.

Beginning this month, the company's Freestyle app will allow customers to create custom mixes from more than 100 drink options, connect their smartphones to dispensers using a digital code and pour their new drinks.

A pilot test of the new service will take place at about 2,000 locations across the U.S. before Coke debuts the app's new features nationwide later this year.

Firehouse Subs, Noodles & Company, Moe's Southwest Grill, Qdoba, Taco Time, and Wingstop will participate in the pilot test.
