Google Maps Gives Directions for Your Dragon

Even the Mother of Dragons could use directions every once in a while. Thankfully Google Maps has added a travel option that should help any "Game of Thrones" character save some travel time.

Dragons are faster than cars, bikes or pedestrians. It is known. Or at least that is what a new Google Maps Easter egg says.

Sadly, dragon travel is not an option everywhere. Google users need to travel from Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to Brecon Beacons, a mountain range in South Wales.

That trip will take the average driver around an hour and a half. By dragon? Only 21 minutes. So far, neither Balerion, Vhagar or Meraxes have been spotted flying around the countryside. Instead, Google probably picked Wales because of its flag, which has featured its red dragon since 1485.

This is not the first time that Google Maps has hidden Easter eggs for science-fiction and fantasy fans. Last year, it let people explore the TARDIS from "Doctor Who." In 2011, it gave a warning to "Lord of the Rings" fans who wanted to walk up to Mount Doom. It's advice?

"One does not simply walk into Mordor."
