America's rudest drivers
If you are planning a road trip, you may want to avoid these parts of the country. Drivers in these five regions bicker and argue more than they do anywhere else in the country, according to a recent report by Insure.com, a consumer insurance information website.
To compile its list, Insure.com surveyed a sample of 2,000 drivers, equally consisting of men and women, from all areas of the country.
And, no, the rudest of them all is not New York.

5. Massachusetts
The people of Massachusetts embrace their rudeness, and even brandish bumper stickers that read "Mass-hole," according to the report. Drivers in that state are notorious for dangerously tailgating others, rushing lights and refusing to allow other drivers to merge. Bay Staters also use their time behind the wheel to talk on their cellphones, eat and check their makeup.
4. Wyoming
The Cowboy State may be the least populous state in the country, but it has the second-highest number of roadway fatalities involving pickups and SUVs, according to the report.
3. New York
New Yorkers' legendary rudeness carries over onto the streets and freeways. Even pedestrians sometimes hurl obscenities at drivers, and "pretty much no driver in New York bothers to indicate before turning," said one resident quoted in the report.
2. Washington D.C.
The nation's capital has the highest number of speeding tickets per capita, according to a Driverside study cited in the report. The city also has the highest average insurance premiums of any region on this list.
1. Idaho
Idaho is a "dichotomy of drivers," said the report. "Those who are moving so slowly that they're judged to be rude, and the aggressive drivers who speed around them and flip them off." In spite of this, it has the lowest average insurance premiums of any region on this list.
