Domino's Pizza tops Street 3Q forecasts

Domino's Pizza on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $35.6 million.

On a per-share basis, the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company said it had profit of 63 cents.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.

The pizza chain posted revenue of $446.6 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Analysts expected $436.2 million, according to Zacks.

Domino's Pizza shares have increased nearly 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 11 percent in the last 12 months. (Get the latest quote here.)
