Halftime trader sees CME new high, dumps Deere

Josh Brown is making the first move in a year-long stock competition between the CNBC "Halftime Report" traders.

Of the six contributors involved in the "Halftime" Portfolio Challenge, Brown is the only one using a quantitative approach, following certain rules to direct his trading. His ultimate goal is to find stocks that could break out above the psychologically important $100 a share mark.
