China stocks slide 6%, hit global sentiment

Squawk Box Live kept you up to date with Asian shares, which dropped Tuesday, as China's benchmarks accelerated losses towards the close.

The Shanghai Composite index widened losses to around 6 percent by the end of the session. This reversed a positive open as concerns over the yuan eclipsed data which showed monthly home prices up for a third straight month in July.
