The "Halftime Report" traders delivered their trades for the second half of the day and tomorrow's big earnings.
Josh Brown: We get these up opens in the market because an economic report misses expectations and everyone gets excited about six more weeks of stimulus, but these things are rolling over. At the end of the day you have the Russell breaking down and not great breadth after the initial bounce. I think this is trend-less situation right now. To get excited is a bit premature.
Stephen Weiss: Mattel reports after the bell. It's got a decent size short interest but they seem to be out of sync with the economy with toys and the economy. I'd be cautious on this one. It's got a huge yield but I don't know how long that yield can keep going.
Jim Lebenthal: I'd like to see if Schlumberger has anything good to say. I'm looking ahead to next week when we'll see a lot of good value names report.
